    In only two days, Strategy to Reality addresses how to implement the security standards necessary to ensure compliance with government laws and regulations, especially when faced with new technologies. The strategy is to address new technology deployment rather than secure last year's systems with last year's tools. The reality is that as new technologies are introduced and adopted, new threats will appear.

    The Department of Homeland Security established the Essential Body of Knowledge (EBK) in 2007 to establish a national baseline representing the essential knowledge and skills that IT security practitioners should possess. The 14 EBK domains form the critical roadmap for the 2008 Strategy to Reality curriculum. They will be addressed along with these top security issues:
